Serpent & the Swan's Spring/Summer 2012/13 collection 'Awoke in a Dream' was exerted by sisters Hayley and Lauri Smith. Inspired by the morbidly fascinating 1975 Australian film, 'Picnic at Hanging Rock', a reflective of surreal, dream like sequences is what influenced the collections hunting silhouettes, subdued colour palette and textured fabrics. I am in love with the leather cut outs and relaxed silk dresses for this coming summer season. While i have not stumbled upon this label before, i am so excited to follow their growth as a successful Australian label. Check it out here!
